Customer Service and Assistant Manager of Customer Service.
How has Home-Tech changed since you started working here?
Since I started, I have noticed an improved level of service through the advancements in technology and in training.
What is your favorite part of the job?
I’ve enjoyed working with a great group of people.
What does a Dispatch Manager do?
I make sure the jobs get done. Basically, I set up the route and the technician scheduling board. For the five counties we serve: Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Sarasota and Manatee, organization is the key. My main concern is to get the right technician to the right job – at the right time.
How do you keep all the service calls and schedules organized?
First, the call is entered into Home-Tech’s software program called HTV. What you need to know about my department is this: each member of the dispatch department controls their own zone or territory within our five county radius. After a service call is received and entered, the dispatch staff member will plan out each technician’s day and route, according to zone, which is then put up on the big dispatch board. It is a very visual process.
What is the hardest part of the job?
Getting the right tech to the right job at the right time is our goal. That and arranging the schedule to keep the overtime down.
What advice do you give to newer Home-Tech employees?
There is always the chance for advancement, so always put your best foot forward.
Tell us a secret?
Nope. Sorry, I am boring. (No, she is not.)
