Home-Tech Community Involvements for Spring 2013

community eventAt Home-Tech, the Home-Tech community is not only important, but so is the Southwest Florida community. Since 1981 Home-Tech has given back to the community and participated in the events of the communities in 5 counties that we service.  Beginning with an event on March 16th, Home-Tech employee owners have had a full calendar and a lot of fun.

Celtic Fest – Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton – March 16thhome-tech-community-event

Home-Tech’s Jon Hayo and Jeff Hendershott set up the Home-Tech booth at the Central Park in Lakewood Ranch and enjoyed a day with all the Irish celebrators.  Many residents stopped by our booth to say hi, pick up a chocolate filled coin and learn more about our Service Agreements and repair services.  The children at the event participated in a treasure hunt and also came by to nibble on some chocolate.  There was a dog parade, Celtic music, dancing and even a visit from a real leprechaun!

Once again Home-Tech sponsored the winning contestant at the StarStruck gala and dance competition.   Nannette Staropoli, sponsored by Home-Tech, took home both the Audience Favorite and Top Fundraiser awards. Congratulations to her and all the celebrity, professional and spotlight dancers who performed wonderfully.  Steve Marino, Home-Tech CEO and Sonya Sawyer, Home-Tech CFO (both former winners) attended with their spouses and had an enjoyable evening dancing at this benefit for the American Red Cross.

Home-Tech Open House – Bradenton Showroom – March 23rdcommunity event

Home-Tech hosted an Open House for our Service Agreement customers in Sarasota and Manatee counties.  Not everyone has had a chance yet to check out our beautiful new showroom so we celebrated a year of it being open.  We shared a custom baked and decorated cake, refreshments and incredible deals on Whirlpool, Maytag and Kitchenaid appliances with our fun Spin & Win Discount Wheel.

13CelticFestHayoreducedHome-Tech Hob Knobs – Sarasota Chamber Event – April 4th

Coming up this Thursday evening, beginning at 5pm, Jon Hayo and Jeff Hendershott and other employees from our north showroom will attend the Hob Knob event at the Ed Smith Stadium on 12st Street in Sarasota. This is a fun event with lots of great food to try.  Home-Tech will once again be serving up our famous grilled Kielbasa and Pineapple recipe.  We will be giving away a 6 bottle table top wine cooler.  When you think of great food, we also want you to think about cooking it on fantastic kitchen appliances which we sell and service.

GO RED Luncheon – American Heart Association – April 5th

Nine of the lady employees from Home-Tech will be attending this luncheon on Friday at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Pointe Resort and Spa.  This is the 10th year of Go Red for Women.  Home-Tech will be donating a brand new washer and dryer again this year for the raffle to help raise money for the cause.
