Chemicals from the plastic bottles can also leach into a bottle of water as well. And, there is no regulation of bottled water by the federal government. A study done by the Environmental Working Group in 2008 found chemicals in every brand tested. You don’t have these concerns with a refrigerator purification system because you know exactly what is being removed from your drinking water.
