Joe Puts His Investigative Hat On
“On Thursday your Service Technician, Joe, came to my house in Alva, Florida to service my AC unit, under the terms of the annual maintenance agreement. Joe called ahead to tell me that he was ‘on the way.’ Joe promptly arrived and within the three hour window, that I had been advised of, early in the morning.
Unlike another technician from another AC company who serviced my AC years ago and whom never got off his cell phone, Joe was attentive to his work and did a thorough job. Joe never used his cell phone, except to contact my landlord, whom he advised of a horrible smell in our house! I had been trying to locate the source of the odor for three (3) days! Joe and I could not figure out where the smell was emanating from, since it was in almost every room of the house! After Joe left, I ran my front loading wash machine on the sanitize cycle adding bleach. Then I put vinegar and baking soda in every drain in the house. I turned off the A/C unit for a couple of hours, when my husband and I left the house. When we returned the odor seemed to have decreased quite a bit. Yesterday I installed a new A/C filter and the odor was almost completely gone! Today there is no hint of an odor!!
Although Joe’s recommendation of the ‘Reme Air Knight’ was rejected by my landlord it’s good to know that there is something available for what seemed to be an odor from an unknown source! Although Joe and I both stuck our heads into the wash machine we could not detect an odor, but that may very well have been the source!
