What does the Ronald McDonald House have to do with making Home-Tech a successful company? Home-Tech has employee owners who are invested in the future of the business, offers exceptional service experiences for our awesome happy and satisfied customers and is always involved in community charitable efforts. Since 1981, striving for the best in all we do has earned Home-Tech a respected reputation as the top employee owned air conditioning and appliance service company in Southwest Florida.
The charitable component is what we believe is necessary for us to perform at a higher level. We are committed to tireless involvement within our community. We hold a number of area causes dear and contribute to them, whether it’s the Animal Refuge Center, The American Heart Association, the PACE Center For Girls, and lots more.
Project Design
Most recently we were honored to be a part of Project Design at the Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida. The big reveal happened last week to celebrate the more than 20 local designers and contractors that contributed to a major $1.75 million overhaul of the facility. The Ronald McDonald House provides housing to families while their children receive care at nearby Lee Memorial Health Systems Health Park Hospital.
“Ronald McDonald House was one of the very first charities that Home-Tech got involved with,” says Home-Tech CFO, Sonya Sawyer. “In fact, Ronald McDonald House has a Service Agreement with us and we’ve been thrilled to take care of their air conditioning and appliance repairs and maintenance for years. We have also donated all of the appliances for the kitchen.”
The Ronald McDonald House has been in Southwest Florida for 20 years and was starting to look fairly dated when 20 designers/vendors were asked to help with 20 different rooms/spaces.
“Being Home-Tech, we were happy to be able to help out with the renovation of the Utility/Laundry Room,” explains Sawyer. “We worked with Naples designer Jet & Co. and we donated two fantastic, stacked, Speed Queen washers and dryers.”
Of the big reveal last week, Sawyer is very proud. “The home looks beautiful,” she says. “What a wonderful, peaceful place for parents and families to stay during such a difficult time in their lives. Giving back is so very important to us. It always has been and always will be.”
